Package V-B

Applications

When both, wood moisture and air humidity need to be measured. For flooring installations, inspections, water damage restoration, and wood production plants. The Ligno-VersaTec – the all-in-one moisture meter – can be used as thermo-hygrometer, pinless meter or pin meter (add electrode).

Advantages

Lignomat’s RH BluePeg probe is accurate with a short response time. A cable for remote readings is included, the depth adapters RH-DA can be added to extend the length of the probe to better reach into small areas.

Besides using the Ligno-VersaTec as thermo-hygrometer, you can use the dual-depth, pinless function to measure wood and a wide variety of other materials, quick and easy. Flooring installers and inspectors select the Ligno-VersaTec for its ability to measure flooring products: wood, bamboo, engineered products, subfloors.

  • Add electrode E12 or E14 to use the Ligno-VersaTec as pin meter.
  • Add sleeves, RH-CC cable and additional RH probes to perform in-situ RH concrete moisture testing in compliance with ASTM F2170.

Product Description

The V-B package features a pinless, dual-depth meter measuring a wide variety of materials and a thermo-hygrometer with a fast-responding, precision RH probe and the option to add one of the pin electrodes and accessories for in-situ concrete measurements. When both, wood moisture and air humidity need to be measured. For flooring installations, inspections, water damage restoration, and wood production plants. The Ligno-VersaTec – the all-in-one moisture meter – can be used as thermo-hygrometer, pinless meter or pin meter (add electrode).

The package V-B consists of:

  • Ligno-VersaTec moisture meter
  • RH Thermo-Hygro Probe
  • RH Cable
  • Pouch

With the V-B package, moisture content and air humidity can be measured. Both values are set into relation to each other in the EMC table, which shows values for stable conditions of wood moisture and relative humidity.

The Ligno-VersaTec is the most advanced meter among Lignomat’s moisture meters for pin-pinless-RH measurements. Features are the wide moisture range and more than 150 correction settings for measuring domestic and tropical wood species, OSB and other panel products, bamboo, gypsum and different types of wall boards. Relative scales are included for concrete, cementitious materials, plastics, insulation…

Connectors for pin electrodes and RH cables or RH adapter are installed in the top of the meter.
– BNC connector for electrode cables and in-kiln, remote cables with Adapter H
– 3.5mm stereo jack to connect RH cable or RH adapter.
Two measuring plates for pinless dual-depth mode are mounted on the back of the meter.

Pinless Measurements
The Ligno-VersaTec meter by itself allows fast and easy moisture testing of flat surfaces 1/4″ and 3/4″ deep. Percent values are indicated for all wood species, OSB and other panel products, engineered floors, bamboo and drywall. Relative scales are for all other materials including concrete. Comparative readings can be obtained for all other moisture sensitive materials. Concrete can be measured in scan mode on setting #25 following ASTM 2659.

If the material is not flat, or measurements should reach deeper or you need to find differences between surface and core moisture, the Electrodes E12 or E14 or E16 can be added to accomplish those tasks.

A pinless advantage: Pinless meters from Lignomat measure lower moisture contents than pin meters. A feature specifically valued by the flooring industry in areas with low relative humidity and high desert climate zones.

To activate the RH mode, plug the RH Thermo-Hygro probe into the top of the meter.

RH Measurements – Thermo-Hygrometer
The Ligno-VersaTec has a 35mm stereo jack mounted in the top of the meter to connect the RH Thermo-Hygro probe to the Ligno-VersaTec. The Thermo-Hygro probe consists of 2 parts: First plug the Adapter H into the connector at the top, then the RH BluePeg probe fits into the Adapter RH.

As soon as the connection is established, the Ligno-VersaTec automatically switches into RH mode. When the READ button is depressed, the meter immediately indicates the relative humidity. The up or down keys allow recalling the values for ambient temperature, dew Point temperature and grains per pound (RH, Temp, DewPT, GPP). The display indicates the measured values and the RH Probe number. The RH probe number is an individual 3-digit number to allow keeping track of probes measurements and performance.

RH Adapters and Cables
The Adapter comes with 3.5mm stereo plugs (male) on both ends to connect Lignomat’s RH BluePeg Probe directly to the Ligno-DuoTec BW. A RH cable 6 ft for remote measurements is included with the package BW-B. The cable is used when the probe at the meter cannot reach the area or when the display cannot be seen, while measuring a tight spot. Upon request we make longer RH cables.

The distance from the top of the meter to the end of the probe is 2.25″ including the RH adapter. If that is too short to reach into heat ducts, walls and other small crevices, the shaft of the probe can be extended with the RH depth adapter.

Specifications RH BluePeg Probe – accurate and fast responding
